Gynaecology
A healthy vaginal ecosystem relies on a well-proliferated epithelium and lactic acid bacteria, which work together to maintain an acidic environment, inhibit harmful microorganisms, and protect against infections.
Dermatology
The skin is the largest and heaviest human organ in terms of size. It has a surface area of 1.5 to 2 m2 and weighs up to 10 kg in a grown adult. Together with the skin appendages such as hair, nails and the sweat and sebaceous glands, the skin shapes the unique appearance of a person and fulfills a number of functions.
Insomnia
Sleep represents a basic human need. It is used not only for physical but also for psychological regeneration. Depending on age and individual needs, people need about six hours (elderly), eight hours (adults/adolescents) and twelve hours (infants) of sleep per night.
Phlebology
Approximately five litres of blood flow continuously through the human body. Two blood vessel systems are responsible for the transport of blood: the arteries and the veins.
The blood, which has been enriched with oxygen in the lungs, is pumped by the heart through the arteries into the most remote organs and parts of the body. This way, the cells of the body are supplied with oxygen and nutrients. The veins take over the return transport to the heart of the oxygen-depleted blood loaded with metabolic degradation products. From there the blood reaches the lungs where it is enriched with oxygen once again.
Rheumatology
The musculoskeletal system ensures that the body remains in a defined form but still can move in a purposeful manner. It consists of the skeleton, muscles, tendons and ligaments.
